Frequently Asked Questions

I do NOT accept insurance at this time.  You can, however, use HSA funds to pay for your visits with Balanced Women’s Wellness.  An itemized receipt can be given to submit to your insurance company for any potential out of network benefits as your plan allows.

Yes, as your policy allows. Medications prescribed will be sent to your usual pharmacy, please make sure they have your insurance information.  Labs are ordered through Quest, and imaging through Jefferson Radiology.  Please provide both of these locations with your insurance prior to having blood drawn or imaging completed.

Not always. There are no good blood tests to determine if you are in perimenopause, so I much prefer to manage based on your symptoms than over what labs say. HOWEVER, the symptoms of perimenopause can also mimic other conditions, so for most patients I recommend a basic blood panels to rule out any other potential causes for your symptoms if they have not already been done recently.  These labs may include baseline hormone levels, vitamin deficiencies, blood counts, metabolic panel, lipids, diabetes, and thyroid testing and also inflammation markers. Labs are tailed to each client’s unique situation.
